Cameron Overbey

Pastor Cam grew up not far from Richwood in Swedesboro, NJ and is thrilled to be back “home” in South Jersey!  Since graduating from High School, Cam graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theology from Valparaiso University in Valparaiso, IN and earned a Masters in Divinity from Duke Divinity School in Durham, NC.  After being ordained, he has served churches in the Greater New Jersey Annual Conference of the UMC since 2014, including Cranford (2014 – 2022) and Red Bank (2022 – 2026).  He is passionate about building beloved communities of faith that embody the love of Christ and help to make a place for all people to experience and know that love.   Pastor Cam met his wife Kelsie at Valpo and they have been married since 2012.  They have two growing kids, Samuel and Matheson, and a dog, Ace. Together they enjoy sports, model railroading, going to the movies, beach days, and being in nature!  (Cam also enjoys participating in triathlons.)  They are excited to embark on this season of life’s adventure with the congregation at Richwood UMC!
