Family Night: Tonight is our Fall Carnival! Everyone is welcome to join us at the Hall at 5:00 p.m. The meal is covered dish; be creative and bring some “carnival food”! A sign-up sheet in the Narthex will give you an idea of what others are bringing. After the meal, try your hand at games, or take a family picture in the photo booth. Our resident clown will entertain and amaze. Judges will sample the entries in our Bake-Off. They will announce winners and everyone can then enjoy the pies, cakes and cookies for dessert. Anyone is welcome to enter the Bake-Off. Categories are: Pies, Cakes, Cookies and 12-and-under. See the sign-up sheets in the Narthex. If you would like to help set up the Hall today, please stay after church and see Lyn Zanow.

No Rehearsals: Choir and Chime Choir will not meet this Wednesday night. See you next week!

Sunday School Notes: If your child would like to be involved in the Children’s Christmas Program, to be held on December 10th at 6:00 p.m., please see Gillian Bruno ( This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or 609-320-6527) TODAY to make sure a part is assigned to him/her. Rehearsals for the program will be held on two Monday nights, November 27th and December 4th, from 6:00 – 6:45 p.m. in the Hall.

Grave Blankets: The MYF is making grave blankets, swags and garland. Today is the last day to order anything; order forms are in the Narthex. Anyone who would like to help is welcome! We are again working at the Willmot’s home (130 Cedar Road, Mullica Hill). Bring garden clippers and dress for the weather. Here is the schedule for this week:
                Monday               8:30 – 10:30 a.m.
                Tuesday               2:00 – 5:00 p.m.
                Friday                   9:00 – 11:00 a.m.
                Saturday              9:00 – 11:00 a.m. – Pick up
If you placed an order, be sure to pick it up Saturday. See Mildred if you want to pick it up before then.

Thanksgiving Day: Everyone is welcome to attend our annual service, which will be held on Thursday, November 23rd at 8:00 a.m. Rev. Dave Bailey from Ranch Hope will again bring the morning’s message! An offering will be received for their ministry. (All offerings given in the Thanksgiving envelopes will go to Ranch Hope unless otherwise marked.) Our offering to Ranch Hope this year will be matched! Give cash OR make your check out to the church and NOTE that it is for Ranch Hope so it can be part of the Matching Fund Campaign.

Knit & Crochet Ministry will continue to meet every Friday at 10:00 a.m. in the Youth Room at the Hall. They have decided NOT to meet on Tuesday nights anymore. See Bobbie Pohl if you have questions.

Sing-a-long Messiah: The Cape Island Baptist Church in Cape May invites you to experience a great holiday tradition. The 30th annual Messiah Sing-a-long will be held on Friday, November 24th, at 7:00 p.m. It is a wonderful way to begin the holiday season.

Operation Christmas Child: Thank you again to everyone who brought in shoeboxes, items for the shoeboxes, or contributed toward the shipping costs. We took 228 boxes to the drop-off center last week. Please continue to pray for the children who will receive these boxes, that they will come to know and love the Lord God.

Gift Cards: Here is a great way to do your holiday shopping: purchase your favorite gift cards at face value and earn a profit for our church! All kinds of cards are available, from restaurants to department stores.

The first order has gone out and we made close to $550 on it! If you would like to order any cards, your order is due in by December 3rd (sorry: no late orders can be accepted). Order forms are available in the Narthex; see Amy Reuter (229-2473) if you have questions.

Advent Begins this year on Sunday, December 3rd. Advent: A Calendar of Devotions are available now in the Narthex. You are welcome to take one for your family to use next month. Advent calendars will be given out to each Sunday School family. Use them with your child to prepare for Jesus’ birthday!

Advent Candlelighting: Each Sunday during Advent, we light our Advent Wreath at the start of each service. Special readings highlight the meaning of each candle. If you would like to participate by reading and lighting candles, please sign up in the Narthex for the week and the service you prefer.

Christmas Gifts for Kids Alley: The LIFE Class will be collecting gifts for the children (ages 3 – 14) at Kids Alley in Camden. Any unwrapped gifts should be brought in to church by December 10th and put by the organ. They are looking for toys, games, dolls, sports equipment, books, quality water bottles, or $10 gift cards to Walmart or Target. You can pick up a copy of their Wish List in the Narthex.

ShopRite cards work just like cash, and we earn 5% on every dollar. Buy them here and help raise funds for the church! Since we started this program years ago, we have sold over $830,000 in cards. Join us in our March to a Million! Cards are available from Karen Luttenberger, Jennifer Guht, Karen Borrelli, Bunnie Powell or Suzanne Aumack. Please guard them as cash; they cannot be replaced if lost.

Counters’ Request: If you use offering envelopes, our counters have asked that you please put the associated envelope number on the bottom of your check. This will save the counters time and avoid errors, especially when you forget your envelope. If you don’t use envelopes but give somewhat regularly, please consider using them. Even if you don’t use them, when you give regularly by check you are still assigned a number. That number is indicated on your annual giving statement. If you don’t know your number, you can ask Terry Klodnicki, our Financial Secretary, or ask one of the counters. If you’d like a box of envelopes, Terry can provide them. Call, text, or email her at 856-371-1181 or This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .

Cookie Sale & Christmas Shop: Pick your own cookies on Saturday, December 9th! The annual sale, which will run from 9:00 – 1:00, features “pick your own” homemade cookies for $12 per one-pound box. Pre-packaged cookies and other goodies will also be for sale at a Bake Table. We need LOTS of bakers for this sell-out event. If someone hasn’t asked you yet to bake, please volunteer! Help will also be needed that day; see Linda Fischer to volunteer.
We will again feature vendors selling craft and gift items. The church will have a craft table with handmade items for sale; contributions to this are welcomed. There will also be a silent auction table. You can purchase coffee, breakfast sandwiches, or lunch in the kitchen.

Amazon Smile: If you are making Amazon purchases (Christmas is coming!), use Amazon Smile (www.smile.amazon.com). Sign up so the church gets a portion of your purchase. Please see Matt Sandy if you need assistance setting this up.

2018 Acolytes: Parents who have children age 6 and older who are interested in serving as acolytes should sign up in the Narthex to be put on the schedule for the coming year. See Charlie Harris with questions.

Coffee Hour: Due to increased attendance, we need to supplement our donuts each week. If you can contribute a breakfast treat one Sunday, please sign up in the Coffee Room.
