Talent Show: Thanks to everyone who participated in last week’s Family Night show. It was a fun evening and we were glad to have you on the program!
Easter Baskets are due back today! Thank you for your generosity in taking and filling them. They will be delivered to Peter’s Pantry for distribution to those in need. If you forgot to bring yours back today, please see Karen Luttenberger to make other arrangements.
Easter Egg Hunt: We are looking for donations of cash, wrapped candy, and small non-edible items like stickers or erasers for the church’s annual Easter Egg Hunt, which will take place on April 8th. Items should be brought in to church and put in the box in the Narthex by April 2nd. See Jenn Fox if you would like to help.
Pot Pie Dinner! Our next Chicken Pot Pie Dinner will be held THIS Saturday, April 1st! We will serve the all-you-can-eat meal from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. in the Hall. Homemade chicken pot pie (both old-fashioned with noodles and crusted), sides, salad, dessert and beverage are included. Tickets are $15 for adults and $7 for children (ages 5 – 12).
We have a great team of cooks and workers, but lots of help will be needed to serve the over-400 people expected. Here are ways you can help:
~~ Sell tickets! Take a packet of 10 tickets and invite your friends and neighbors. Some tickets will be available at the door, but this event has sold out in the past.
~~ Bake a dessert. A sign-up sheet has been posted in the Narthex for those willing to help (about 30 cakes or pies will be needed).
~~ Buy a ticket and come eat that evening!
~~ The prep day is scheduled for Thursday. If you can help pick chicken, peel potatoes, measure flour, set up tables, etc., you are invited to come Thursday morning. Work begins at 8:00 a.m.
~~ Help on Saturday (cooking, serving or cleaning up).
Please let Laura Cunard know ( This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or 609-617-0978) if you plan to help so she knows what to expect. Anyone interested is invited to a planning meeting today at 9:30 a.m. (during Coffee Hour).
Cruise Update: Anyone going on the cruise this June should please remember that the final payment is due this Tuesday, March 28th.
Bible Verse Challenge: The 1st – 3rd Grade Sunday School class has begun a Bible Verse Challenge. Any student who can recite a verse (at least 12 words long, and with the reference) by April 2nd will receive a special prize.
Clement Family Visitation: Anyone wishing to pay their respects and share memories of Matt Clement with the family is welcome to come next Sunday, April 2nd, any time from 1:00 – 4:00 at the Fellowship Hall.
Memorial Gift: The new ice maker in the Fellowship Hall was purchased with funds given in memory of JoAnne Lewis. Special thanks to Charlie Harris for buying and installing it, and to all who contributed toward this memorial.
Congratulations to our Sunday School Superintendent Gillian Bruno and her husband Joe on the birth of their son, Jayce Joseph. He was born on Tuesday, March 21st, weighing 8 lbs, 14 oz. Proud Grandpa is Geoff Young.
Softball: Our church will again participate in the All Faiths Co-Ed Softball League.  Anyone 16 and over (or 14 with parental consent) is invited to join the team. All games will be held on Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. starting April 18th, with practices held the two Tuesday nights before that (April 4th and 11th starting at 6:00 p.m.).  Clearview’s JV Field (across from the CVS) will again be our home field.  Schedules and updates will be posted on the church’s web site.  Contact Jim (625-1137 or This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. ) if you have questions.
Gift Cards: If you are planning on buying gifts for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Graduation, or End-of-the-Year Gifts for teachers, etc., why not get gift cards? Or if you know you’ll be shopping or eating out soon, use a gift card for your purchase and help the church! A percentage of every order is donated to the church. Order forms are in the Narthex and the Coffee Room. All orders with payment are due back to Amy Reuter by April 23rd. Gift cards will be back in early May.
Good Friday: The “Seven Last Words of Christ” will again be the theme for our Good Friday Service, to be held on April 14th, from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. Three more speakers are still needed to share a brief reflection on one of these last words; please see the pastor.
Sneakers Collection: We will be collecting new or gently used sneakers in all sizes. You are welcome to bring in any you have to donate. A collection box will be put in the Narthex soon and will be mailed off when it’s full. Proceeds benefit WaterStep, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing safe water to communities in developing countries. They teach people how to use safe water solutions like water purification, health education and well repair, empowering them to take care of their own water needs for years.
ShopRite Gift Cards: These work just like cash, and we earn 5% on every dollar. They are available from Karen Luttenberger, Jennifer Guht, Karen Borrelli, or Suzanne Aumack. Please guard them as cash; they cannot be replaced if lost.
